Albuquerque’s Robertson & Sons Violin Shop is hosting a benefit for Music from Angel Fire at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 29.
The event in the shop’s Recital Hall will feature a program of music with violinist Ida Kavafian, the summer festival’s artistic director, violist Steven Tenenbom and Albuquerque pianist Pamela Pyle.
On the hourlong program will be Fritz Kreisler’s salon works for violin and piano; Nino Rota’s Intermezzo for viola and piano; and Robert Schumann’s Fairy Tales for violin, viola and piano.
The evening includes a 6:15 p.m. tour of the violin shop and a reception with the musicians at which wine, coffee, hors d’oeuvres and dessert will be served.
Tickets are $100 for two people, $60 for one and are available in advance by calling the festival at 575-377-3233 or, if available, at the door.
Robertson & Sons is located at 3201 Carlisle NE. The event is a benefit for Music from Angel Fire, whose concerts run from Aug. 18 through Sept. 3.
